PDI-A13-5V1A Push-Pull PWM Driver
PDI-A13-5V1A has been introduced as a push-pull PWM driver for switching, driver and control applications.
The module provides two PWM outputs with a 180° phase relationship. This structure makes it suitable for applications that require complementary PWM signals, especially in driver circuits and power electronics development.
Two-Channel Push-Pull PWM Output
PDI-A13-5V1A provides two PWM signal outputs: PWM-H and PWM-L.
The two outputs operate at the same frequency and their duty cycle values are equal. The duty cycle can be adjusted from 0% to 50%, which is suitable for push-pull driving structures where the two outputs must operate in opposite timing regions.
Wide Frequency Range
The module supports a PWM frequency range from 100 Hz to 1 MHz.
With 0.1 Hz frequency resolution and 0.1% duty cycle resolution, the module can be used in applications where precise timing control is required. This makes it useful for switching tests, control circuits and experimental driver applications.
Signal Transition Functions
PDI-A13-5V1A supports time-dependent frequency and duty cycle transitions.
New frequency or duty cycle values can be applied instantly or through controlled transition functions. The supported transition types include ramp, sine, exponential and logarithmic transitions. This is useful in applications where sudden signal changes are not desired.
Durable 5 V Outputs
The signal outputs operate at 5 V high level.
Each output supports 1.5 A peak source and sink current capability. The outputs are designed as low-side drivers, providing flexibility for isolated half-bridge or full-bridge driver structures connected to the module outputs.
SPI Communication
PDI-A13-5V1A operates as an SPI slave device.
The SPI logic level can be selected between 1.8 V and 5 V through the VSPI port. The device accepts a master clock up to 20 MHz, allowing it to be integrated with different microcontrollers and digital control systems.
Programmable Limits and Startup Routine
The module supports programmable signal limits and startup behavior.
Minimum and maximum signal parameter values can be defined according to the application. In addition, the output behavior during startup can be programmed, which is useful for controlled initialization in driver and switching systems.
Typical Application Areas
PDI-A13-5V1A can be used in applications that require push-pull PWM generation and controlled switching outputs.
Typical application areas include:
· MOSFET and IGBT switching circuits
· H-bridge and half-bridge driver circuits
· Ultrasonic applications
· Induction applications
· Motor control applications
· Lighting control applications
· High-voltage and pulse transformer driver circuits
· R, L and/or C load control circuits
Conclusion
PDI-A13-5V1A provides a compact push-pull PWM driver structure with two-channel PWM outputs, SPI communication, programmable signal transitions and 1.5 A source/sink output capability. It offers a practical platform for switching circuits, driver development and experimental control applications.
