PDI-A20-24V4AISO PWM Driver Interface
PDI-A20-24V4AISO has been introduced as a PWM driver interface for power electronics, switching and driver development applications.
The device provides two programmable PWM output channels with isolated and referenceable outputs. This structure makes it suitable for applications where precise PWM control, output isolation and high-current gate drive capability are needed in the same system.
Two-Channel PWM Output
PDI-A20-24V4AISO provides two PWM outputs: OUTA and OUTB.
The outputs operate at the same frequency and maintain a 180° phase relationship. Duty cycle values can be adjusted independently, synchronized with each other or configured in an inverted relationship depending on the selected operating mode.
This gives the device flexibility for different switching topologies and control strategies.

Precise Frequency and Duty Cycle Control
The device supports PWM frequencies from 1 Hz to 200 kHz.
Frequency can be adjusted with 0.1 Hz resolution, while duty cycle can be adjusted with 0.1% resolution. These fine adjustment steps make the module useful in applications where timing accuracy and repeatable signal behavior are important.
Transition Functions
PDI-A20-24V4AISO supports controlled transitions for frequency and duty cycle changes.
Instead of applying every new value instantly, the transition can be performed over a defined time using ramp, sine, exponential or logarithmic functions. This is useful in applications where sudden changes in frequency or duty cycle may not be desired.
Isolated and Referenceable Outputs
The output channels are isolated from the device and can be referenced separately.
The output reference voltage can be selected in the 10 V – 24 V range. This allows the output signal amplitude to be adapted to different driver and switching requirements.
The output stage supports 4 A peak source current and 6 A peak sink current, making the device suitable for driving MOSFET and IGBT gate structures in development and test setups.
Dead-Time and Output Switching
PDI-A20-24V4AISO includes functions for output signal manipulation.
The device supports both overlap and dead-time operation. In dead-time mode, simultaneous high states on the outputs are prevented according to the programmed dead-time value. This helps create safer switching behavior in applications where turn-off time must be considered.
The outputs can also be switched by a secondary signal. This signal can be generated internally by the device or supplied externally through the EXOS input.
Display, Controls and UART Support
The device includes a display-based interface with rotary encoder controls.
Users can adjust signal parameters directly from the device interface. In addition, the same parameters can be read or changed through UART communication. This allows the module to be used both as a standalone control interface and as part of a larger digital control system.
Typical Application Areas
PDI-A20-24V4AISO can be used in applications that require programmable PWM generation, isolated outputs and high-current driver capability.
Typical application areas include:
· MOSFET and IGBT switching circuits
· H-bridge and half-bridge driver circuits
· Ultrasonic applications
· Induction applications
· Motor control applications
· Lighting control applications
· High-voltage and pulse transformer driver circuits
· R, L and/or C load control circuits

Conclusion
PDI-A20-24V4AISO provides a flexible PWM driver interface for power electronics and switching applications. With two programmable PWM outputs, isolated and referenceable output stages, transition functions, dead-time control, UART support and high-current drive capability, it offers a practical platform for driver development, testing and experimental control systems.
